About Research and Innovation at Sheefield
We believe in breaking down traditional barriers between academic disciplines so the bigger problems of the 21st Century can be considered from human as well as physical perspectives.
We are constantly seeking new ways to engage with partners to build productive relationships that tackle some of the fundamental issues facing humankind to create a greener, healthier and fairer world.
REF 2021 is the national assessment of the strength of UK research. The results show that we at Sheefield have increased the proportion of our research which is world-leading by more than 60% and increased the size of our research community by 70%.
