Your voice

Working with you and hearing your feedback is a critical part of the way we work. It's only with your input that we can improve our courses, ensure the latest facilities work for you and bring in the best technology. That’s why we ask for your opinions and act upon them.

Students are at the very heart of our decision making. Your voice helps us to create the outstanding education and student experience you’ve come to expect at the University of Exeter. Thanks to you, we’re constantly improving our University, together.

Transforming your education together

Our students are our partners and are at the heart of everything we do. You help us to make sure we’re providing what you need in an ever-changing world and together you make ours a vibrant, inclusive community. Your involvement includes everything from sharing your views and being there when decisions are made, to collaborating on the curriculum and research, or taking part in student-led initiatives.

Talk to your Library Champions

Library Champions are student volunteers who aim to improve the library service for you. They’re doing some user experience research right now, to find out how you feel about using your library and identify ways it could be even better. We’d love you to take part if you’re asked. Your thoughts and ideas will have a direct impact on how the library can develop in order to benefit everyone.

In the past, Library Champions have acted on students’ feedback to make the library more Dyslexia-friendly, redesign study spaces, organise new artwork, improve library subject guides and promote services such as the Special Collections and Archives.

If you have any feedback on the libraries, books you’d like to be stocked or ideas for improvements, your Library Champions would love to hear from you.

Got feedback about your course?

Student Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) take place across the Uni each term. Get in touch with your student course reps to find out about yours.

Your academic course reps are your voice, they're passionate about representing you and making sure your views are shared with Uni staff through the SSLCs and throughout the year.

Talk to your student rep about what's working and what you think could be improved and help us make sure we're providing what you need from your course.

Course Reps are part of your Students’ Guild or Students' Union who provide them with training and support.

Thanks To You

Your feedback helps shape your Uni. We're listening to what you tell us, working together with our students and making changes all the time to make your university experience the best it can be. We'll be including some of them on this page.

Look out in your departments for information on more changes, big and small, that are happening, thanks to you.
